Rocket Lab Launches Secret Hypersonic Test Mission

New Zealand-based launcher Rocket Lab launched one its Electron rockets from Wallops Island, Virginia tonight in support of The Hypersonic Accelerator Suborbital Test Electron, or HASTE program, where the company conducts tests hypersonic technologies for the U.S. government.

The exact specifics of each mission are classified, and it is fair to say that all the public knows is the name of the mission, Justin.

The over 5 hour window opened at 07:45 ET tonight, with one apparent hold and then finally, a launch at 08:28 PM ET. Electron flew straight and true on its way to do the voodoo the government is up to.
