SpaceX Debuts New Booster, Successfully Launches Starlink 12-10

SpaceX debuted its newest member of the Falcon 9 fleet on Monday evening in support of their latest Starlink mission.

Starlink 12-10 successfully lifted off from Kennedy Space Center’s LC-39A at 10:34 PM last night. This marked SpaceX’s 50th mission of the year thus far. 23 Starlink satellites, including 10 with Direct to Cell capabilities, were successfully placed into Low Earth Orbit (LEO).

The first stage successfully landed on A Shortfall of Gravitas, which was positioned east of The Bahamas.

The new booster was raised on the pad only a few hours before launch. With SpaceX pushing the limits on their boosters, this booster can be expected to fly well over 20 missions.

As the week progresses, SpaceX is targeting Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday for additional Starlink launches from the Space Coast alone. A California launch is also slated for Friday. With the increased launch cadence and what appears to be a tight schedule, this manifest is certainly subject to change.

Be sure to check for upcoming launches here.
