The energy was definitely high Friday evening (Dec. 13, 2024), as Solar Bear fans filled the arena expecting the 3-win momentum to keep on rolling at home. The Bears had three great away games, winning them all; the last one being just two nights earlier against Florida. The Bears humiliated the Everblades 3-2 on the Blades’ home ice in Estero, Florida and were looking to do it again here in the KIA Center.

Things didn’t go as planned, however, and the Bears just couldn’t get back into the game after the Blades scored two goals – one in the first period and one in the second – even though the Bears’ only goal came from a steal by Alex Frye, a beautiful move by Anthony Bardaro, and Frye putting the rebound in the net!
