SpaceX launched the TD7 satellite for operator Optus-X this evening from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center. Liftoff was at 5:28 PM EST into partly cloudy skies just as the sun was officially setting.
SpaceX is preparing for its sixth integrated flight test (IFT-6) of the Starship launch system, scheduled for November 19, 2024, at 4:00 PM CST from the Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas.
Orlando KIA Center – The Orlando Solar Bears suffered a tough loss Monday night falling to the Florida Everblades 1-0 in an exciting and hard-played ECHL hockey game at the KIA Center in downtown Orlando. Any loss is hard, but this one seemed more difficult due to the hard play by the Solar Bears.
SpaceX launched the Starlink 6-69 mission to low-Earth orbit late this afternoon, and by so doing completed its second launch from the Eastern Range in a mere four hours and six minutes.
First, SpaceX launched Koreasat 6A from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center at 12:22 PM EST, then they launched Starlink 6-69 from Space Launch Complex 40 at 4:28 PM EST, both on a Falcon 9.
Both launches were successes.
On Sunday, November 10, 2024, the Zephyrhills Museum of Military History concluded its annual “Battle for Veterans” WWII reenactment event, offering attendees an immersive experience into World War II history. The three-day event, running from November 8 to 10, featured authentic battle reenactments, living history displays, and a showcase of military vehicles, drawing history enthusiasts and families alike.
A relatively rare launch double-header may be on offer today, as SpaceX is planning to launch Koreasat-6A from Launch Complex 39A in the early afternoon, and later, the company plans to turn around and launch the Starlink 6-69 mission from Cape Canaveral’s Space Launch Complex 40.
For Koreasat, the launch window opens at 12:07 PM EST and extends to 4:07 PM, and the launch window for Starlink 6-69 opens at 4:02 PM EST and closes again at 7:44 PM the same day.

TAMPA, FL (Nov. 9, 2024) – Anyone who has ever flown into Tampa or visited there knows that the airspace there can be a pretty busy place. On Saturday, the “airspace” was even busier than usual at just 25 feet over Tampa’s Hillsborough River. Orlando KIA Center – The Atlanta Gladiators slap another home “L” on the Orlando Solar Bears win/loss column Wednesday night in the KIA Center dropping the Bears from #5 at the beginning of the regular season to #10 in the standings with 3 wins, 4 losses, and 1 OTL (Overtime Loss).
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection has granted Blue Origin’s application for a water deluge system at Space Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral. It appears that Blue Origin now has no remaining regulatory hurdles prior to the planned static fire of New Glenn’s first stage and its eventual launch at some point in the near future.
SpaceX shared on its X page on Monday that it is targeting Monday, November 18th, for the next launch of the Starship program. The announcement comes only three weeks after SpaceX’s last launch from Star Base in Boca Chica, TX.
